The highly anticipated restaurant from the team behind Decatur’s Kimball House serves up fresh seafood and craft cocktails in a relaxed yet polished atmosphere near Atlanta’s beltline.
Watchman’s owners Bryan Rackley, Miles Macquarrie, Jesse Smith and Matt Christison say that the restaurant’s name was inspired by the tradition of farmers and fishermen watching over their oysters from seed to harvest. Bryan Rackley transformed his passion for Southern oysters into advocacy when he helped co-found Oyster South in 2014. The non-profit organization is dedicated to creating sustainable oyster farming practices and preserving and protecting the bivalves’ coastal environments.
The stunning space designed by local architectural firm, Square Feet Studio evokes a subtle nautical theme pairing hints of blues and greens with custom millwork, white built-in benches, hanging foliage and large factory style windows that flood the space with natural light.
Our reclaimed heartpine flooring can be found throughout the Atlanta eatery along with our custom handcrafted herringbone bar tops that add a touch of warmth and character to the space.
